Finding the Fisets

The Fiset family’s story begins in 1653 when Abraham Fiset arrived in Quebec from France, setting the stage for generations of resilience and perseverance. This project focuses on my great-grandfather, Ernest Fiset, born in 1895 in Ste-Christine-de-Portneuf. After farming in Saskatchewan, the Great Depression forced him to leave his land. Determined, he moved his family to British Columbia, where he established a new life in Lumby. Finding the Fisets uncovers the strength and spirit that shaped this family's remarkable journey across time and place.
